CONNECT GROUPS

The church has benefited over a large number of years through meeting together in small groups of various sizes in the more relaxed and informal setting of members homes. Here friendships can develop and faith be strengthened through studying God's Word, prayer and fellowship. Hitherto these groups were known as Homegroups but are now rebadged as Connect Groups.

The mission of Connect Groups is to: -

- Connect with God
- Connect with each other
- Connect with the world God loves

Connecting with God through prayer, fellowship and Bible study.
Connecting with each other by mutual support and encouragement to build community that is attractive to others.
Connecting with the world God loves by looking outwards to neighbours and friends and the local and wider world. To become entry points for people into the church and encouraging members to make new connections with people at work and next door.

Groups are free to decide their own programme and how often to meet. They are encouraged to join in with other activities when appropriate. They should be free to grow and split and be training places for new leaders.

At present there are approximately seventy people in the groups with room for more.

Groups normally meet on Wednesday evenings (some on Thursdays) in members homes which provides a friendly, relaxed environment in which people can share with one another their doubts and experiences.
